Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Press the block of extra-firm tofu between two paper towels with a heavy object on top for about 30 minutes to remove excess water.

  2. Cut the pressed tofu into bite-sized cubes and place in a bowl. Add cornstarch and gently toss to coat the tofu evenly.

  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add tofu cubes in a single layer without overcrowding. Cook until golden and crispy on all sides, about 5-7 minutes per side. Remove tofu from pan and set aside.

  4. In the same skillet, add more oil if needed and sauté garlic, grated ginger, and sliced green onions until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.

  5. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, rice vinegar, Sriracha sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Pour this sauce over the tofu in the skillet and stir gently to coat evenly. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to absorb flavors.

  6. Remove tofu from skillet and transfer to a serving dish. Garnish with sesame seeds and additional sliced green onions.
